Injured Wildlife

Recently (August 2006) residents of the Mishnock area expressed interest in knowing what to do if they find an injured wild animal. Of course much depends on the circumstances, but if you think professional help is warranted you have two choices:

1) Veterinary Services of Wickford, Dr. Meredith Bird, Shermantown Rd, Notrh Kingstown, RI .(401) 294-9518 She accepts all injured wildlife. She has special permits to administer to all. They also have a hotline  (401) 294-6363

2) Ocean State Vet. Services, 1480 South County Trail, East Greenwich, RI  (401) 886-6787 (24 hour service) will accept wildlife if Dr. Bird is closed.
